Hydratis gives you THE solution to fight against fever, migraines and headaches.

Hydratis vous donne LA solution pour lutter contre la fièvre, les migraines et les maux de tête.

Headaches and migraines are one of the symptoms of a lack of hydration.

Dehydration is a lack of water and mineral salts in the body, which are essential for the proper functioning of the body. Water is the main constituent of the human body. The average amount of water contained in an adult body is approximately 60%. The total water content of the human body depends on the person's build and age. Indeed, with regard to the person's build, the thinner the person is, the greater the proportion of water in their body. With age, the proportion of water in the body decreases over the years. When tissues age, they lose water, which is replaced by fat. Thus, water represents 75 to 80% of the weight of a newborn, 65% of that of an infant over one year old, and 60% of that of an adult.

The human body cannot store water because it constantly eliminates water, mainly through urine, breathing, and especially perspiration. To maintain good health, water losses must always be compensated by intake (mainly through diet and adequate fluid intake).

Some people are at greater risk of dehydration. These include infants, whose bodies are very rich in water, and the elderly, who retain less water and salt than adults and are less sensitive to the sensation of thirst. People suffering from chronic illness are also at risk of dehydration (for example, diabetes).

When the body lacks water, it cannot function properly. When you don't drink enough, or after intense physical exertion, you may feel a pain in your head: this is your brain trying to alert you that you are dehydrated. Thus, a lack of hydration leads to migraines and headaches. Drink one or two large glasses of water, rest in a quiet place and wait for your body to rehydrate. For good health, it is recommended to drink an average of 1.5 liters of water per day.

Why does dehydration cause headaches? Why can fevers or migraines also contribute to dehydration?

Headaches are also one of the first signs of dehydration . Headaches can occur when it's hot, dry, and your body lacks water.

Headaches and migraines, whether occasional or recurring, intense or diffuse, can seriously disrupt daily life. Their causes are multiple: stress, fatigue, overwork, lack of sleep, dehydration, exposure to certain substances... One thing is certain, when they set in, we just want to get rid of them. To do this, taking painkillers such as paracetamol, aspirin, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen often proves an effective solution.

Migraine disease is characterized by repeated attacks (headaches) due to the fact that the brain is particularly hyperexcitable in some people. During an attack, a nerve called the trigeminal nerve, which innervates the skull, face, and the thin membranes surrounding the brain (the meninges), releases chemicals into the arteries of the meninges. These cause an increase in the caliber of these arteries (vasodilation) and an inflammation phenomenon, responsible for migraine pain.

The paracetamol reflex: responds to the symptoms, but not to the cause.

Available without a prescription in pharmacies, paracetamol is often the molecule we take first in cases of pain or fever.

Headaches, painful periods, toothaches, colds, fevers... When experiencing severe to moderate pain, many of us, adults and children alike, reach for paracetamol to relieve it. However, even though it's available without a prescription, paracetamol is far from harmless: in case of overdose, paracetamol can cause serious liver damage, which in some cases is irreversible .

Hence the reminder from the French National Agency for Medicines (ANSM): "paracetamol should be used at the lowest possible effective dose and for the shortest duration." To avoid overdose, it is important to follow the recommended dosages.

Headaches can be a symptom of sinusitis, the flu, dehydration, etc. If they always appear on the same side, they can also be a symptom of a dental condition. In these cases, the cause must first be identified in order to receive the appropriate treatment. If it is dehydration, the remedy is none other than rehydration.

Paracetamol is comparable to aspirin in its effects against pain and fever.

But unlike NSAIDs, paracetamol has the following characteristics: It has almost no useful anti-inflammatory activity, it has no influence on the blood's ability to clot and has almost no adverse effects on the stomach.

Paracetamol is administered orally or as a suppository inserted into the rectum, and its effects last on average 4 to 6 hours.

Paracetamol has proven to be a very safe medication. However, high doses can cause liver damage, sometimes irreversible. People with liver impairment should take lower doses than normal. It is less certain whether taking low doses for long periods of time is harmful to the liver. People who consume large amounts of alcohol are probably more likely to develop liver damage when using paracetamol. People who take paracetamol and stop eating due to a cold, flu, or other reason are more likely to develop liver damage.

Headaches can strike quickly and ruin your day. There are a few tips to ease the pain and even prevent it.

It arrives without warning and we barely have time to realize it before realizing that it's there, the headache has set in. It can come from the eyes, from staring at the computer too much, from the neck, but can also be caused by fatigue and stress.

The origins can therefore be different and the symptoms can range from dull pain to intense pain. Headaches occur in the forehead, but also on one or both sides of the skull. If you no longer have the patience to wait six hours before taking your next aspirin, it is possible to use a few tips to prevent the headache from setting in as soon as the first pains appear: massage the forehead and temples, inhale peppermint or lavender, drink coffee, soak your feet in hot water and drink infusions, especially those offered by HYDRATIS.
